MSI Launches New Laptops for Content Creation and Gaming at CES 2022

The CES convention has long been the launching ground for MSI’s next year’s lineup of gaming laptops, and this year’s installment was no exception. In the days leading up to the main convention, MSI released an update to its popular Stealth GS77 line and two updates to its Raider line. The biggest surprise came in the final hours of CES announcements when MSI revealed that it would be releasing three new laptops as part of its creation line specifically designed for content creators.

MSI Stealth, Raider, and Vector Updates

MSI has made a tradition of extensive CES launches for gaming laptops, and the latest installment is no exception. MSI has announced updates to their Stealth GS77, Raider GE75, and Vector line (including a new 17-inch model). The new laptops offer significant performance increases (up to 20 percent faster performance than before) as well as upgraded key features: better screens, SSDs up to 1TB capacity, Tobii eye-tracking, support for third-party RGB light strips.

Gforce RTX

Key specs include an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070/1060 GPU (from 6GB GDDR5 memory), either Windows 10 Home or Pro OS with 256 GB or 512 GB SSD, 16 GB DDR4 RAM; two USB 3.1 Type C ports for data transfer and display connection; one HDMI port; one mini DisplayPort port; three audio jacks—one analog and two digital S/PDIF outputs.

MSI Raider GE76

The MSI Raider GE76 is a 17.3-inch gaming laptop that weighs 4.2 pounds and measures 1 inch thick. It features an Intel Core i7-8750H processor, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB PCIe SSD drive. MSI says its Cooler Boost Trinity technology will help keep your system cool during intense sessions of gaming.

For connectivity, you’ll find Killer Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.1 ports (one Type C), three USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, and an SD card reader. A full-HD display rounds out the specs list.

MSI Vector GP76

A Premium Graphics Workstation Chassis. The MSI GP76 is a 17.3-inch laptop designed specifically with content creators in mind. It packs an incredible amount of power, whether that be graphical rendering or actual editing, into a chassis small enough to carry around comfortably. Rather than creating something large and unwieldy as it is sometimes perceived as necessary in workstations, MSI has produced an incredibly portable unit that gives users all they need in terms of power to produce high-quality content.

MSI Crosshair 15

Design, Hardware, Performance, and More The MSI Crosshair 15 comes in two configurations. A better-specced model features an Intel Core i9-9700K processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 graphics with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, 64GB of DDR4 memory clocked at 2,666MHz (and can be overclocked), and a 256GB NVMe SSD.

This variant also comes with Killer DoubleShot Pro networking, Dynaudio Premium Audio, a SteelSeries keyboard with per-key RGB backlighting, Nahimic 3 sound software, and three USB 3.1 Gen2 ports onboard (one Type-C, one Type-A, and one USB 2.0). On paper it certainly looks like one hell of a gaming laptop – more so if you go for that option that includes Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics – but how does it fare in reality?

MSI laptops for creation and productivity

MSI is showing off new laptops that cater to creators and gamers, in addition to providing support for VR. The GS75 Stealth laptop includes a 15.6-inch 4K display (3840 x 2160) with Nvidia’s Max-Q technology, making it an ideal choice for content creators. Users will also be able to make adjustments on the fly thanks to its Mercury Keyboard: a single keyboard that works seamlessly between laptop mode and tent mode or tablet mode.

Content creators

This year, MSI is showing off updated versions of its popular gaming laptops such as the Raider series and 17-inch GS73VR Phantom. And if you’re looking for something more portable, there are always options like MSI’s 13.3-inch GE73VR Raider 3K Pro and 14-inch GP63 Leopard Pro Carbon notebooks. All machines feature seventh-generation Intel processors, GeForce GTX graphics cards, and USB Type-C ports. They also offer up to 18 hours of battery life when running on battery saver power mode – enough juice to last through most long flights across time zones.

Final Verdict

The laptop that meets your needs should be your top priority when looking to buy a new laptop. In addition to internal specs, ports, memory, battery life, and screen size are all important factors that make up what’s on your mind when you think about buying a new device. No matter what you’re looking for from a gaming laptop or content creation machine, MSI has something that fits those needs perfectly.
